ALVARO DIAZ-RUBIO is an artist and illustrator born and raised in South Florida. He studied in Miami’s sweatiest magnet-schools for art, got a little bullied here and there, and graduated from Design & Architecture Senior High, only to then receive a Full-Scholarship to The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, where he majored in Visual Communications & Illustration.

Since then, Alvaro Diaz-Rubio’s cartoons & illustrations have appeared in many publications & magazines including: Village Voice, LA Weekly, Miami New Times, Dallas Observer, OC Weekly, Broward/Palm Beach New Times, Kansas City Pitch, Blueprint Magazine, Worth Magazine, and various other Children’s Books, Websites, Concert Posters & Band’s album sleeves.

Alvaro also has a bad habit of doodling on almost anything.  You can usually find him drawing, sketching, possibly sleeping, or often making short films with his friends.

That’s pretty much it.
